In addition, you may register a Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC account only if you acknowledge your acceptance of these terms. These terms govern your use of the site. Additional terms and conditions of sale apply to your purchases. For instance, when sending books to inmates, we must also abide by the institution's rules. Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC reserves the right to change these terms from time to time. Please refer to this site periodically for any changes.

Cancellation Policy

📦 Orders can be canceled within 48 hours of purchase.
After that, a 20% processing & restocking fee may apply once your order begins processing.

Modifications to Service

Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue the availability of the site (or any part thereof), temporarily or permanently, with or without notice to you. You agree that Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC will not be liable to you for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the availability of the site.

Termination of Service to You

You agree that Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC, in its sole discretion, may (as applicable) terminate your password, account (or any part thereof) or use of the site, and remove and discard any content within the site, for any reason, including, without limitation, our belief that you have violated or acted inconsistently with the letter or spirit of these terms. You agree that any termination of your access to the site under any provision of these terms may occur without prior notice to you, and you agree that Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC will not be liable to you for any termination of your access to the site.

All other trademarks not owned by Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC that appear on this site are the property of their respective owners.

Limited License to Use the Site

Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC grants you a limited license to access and use the site for its intended purposes. The only permitted commercial use of the site is for buying books for commercial use or resale. You agree not to access or use the site for any other commercial purpose, including but not limited to copying the product listings, product descriptions, or prices, deriving account information for the benefit of another merchant, and extracting data from the site using robots or similar automated data gathering and extraction tools.

No Use of the Site for Prohibited Content

You agree not to use the site to transmit any content that is:

(1) Unlawful under the laws of any jurisdiction to which you or Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC are subject.

(2) Harmful, threatening, harassing, defamatory, invasive of the privacy of another, or obscene (including without limitation any images or depictions of child abuse, child pornography, or minors engaged in sexual conduct or explicitly sexual situations).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC from any liability incurred as the result of your violation of these terms.

Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

YOU AGREE THAT THE SITE IS PROVIDED TO YOU "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC does not warrant that the site will be available at any given time, secure, or free of error. You use the site at your own risk, and you assume the risk that any material downloaded by you from the site may cause loss of data or damage to your computer system. YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT IN NO EVENT WILL CORRECTIONS BOOKSTORE PUBLISHING LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT OR INDIRECT DAMAGES, EVEN IF CORRECTIONS BOOKSTORE PUBLISHING LLC IS AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS OR FOR ANY OTHER SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, HOWEVER, CAUSED, WHETHER BASED UPON CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT LIABILITY IN TORT, WARRANTY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. THE PARTIES INTEND THAT THIS LIMITATION SHOULD APPLY EVEN IF IT CAUSES ANY WARRANTY TO FAIL ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.

Choice of Law & Forum Selection

You agree that any claims under these terms will be subject to the laws of the State of New Jersey and of the United States of America, and you hereby consent to jurisdiction and venue in the courts of the State of New Jersey.

Severability & Waiver

The invalidity of any term or provision of these terms will not affect the validity of any other provision. A waiver by Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC of strict performances of any provision of these terms will not be a waiver of or prejudice Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC‘s right to require strict performance of the same provision in the future or of any other provision of these terms.

Entire Agreement

These terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties as to their subject matter. Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC may modify these terms at its discretion. In the event of a conflict between these terms and the terms and conditions of sale, the terms and conditions of sale will be controlled, if a conflict will not be deemed to exist on a matter about which one set of terms is merely silent.

Purchase Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions of sale govern all purchases from Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC ("Corrections BookStore"). To the extent that these terms conflict with or differ from those contained in any purchase order or other procurement documents of the Buyer, these terms will control. Buyer's acceptance of, or payment for the goods shall conclusively affirm Buyer's assent to these terms.

Delivery

Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC shall use its judgment to determine the most cost-effective packaging sufficient to protect the products in accordance with Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC’s Standard Shipping Policies. Title and risk of loss or damage pass upon tender of delivery of the product to the carrier. Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC will arrange for transportation and insurance at the Buyer's expense, upon request by the Buyer. The ship date is an estimate and is subject to change; the customer agrees that time is not of the essence. Additionally, please note when sending books to prisoners or newspapers/ magazines for inmates that only USPS can typically be utilized. Any price that is stated or quoted includes only the products specified and is firm only for the period stated. Taxes shall be the responsibility of the Buyer.

Acceptance of Orders

All orders are subject to acceptance by Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC at its place of business.

Force Majeure

Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC will not be responsible or liable for any loss, damage, or delay caused or occasioned by acts of God, transportation delays, accidents, fire, strike, civil or military authority, by the requirements of any statute, order, or directive of any governmental authority, or by any other cause beyond Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC’s reasonable control. This includes institutional acceptance when you send books to inmates. Also, be aware that when you send magazines to an inmate in a foreign language, there can be a delay or rejection.

Inspection

Buyer shall promptly inspect the products upon receipt and shall notify Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC, and the carrier in writing of any nonconformity or defect within five (5) days following receipt by Buyer. All merchandise the Buyer deems nonconforming must be maintained and stored in original shipping cartons until the claim is resolved. In the event Buyer does not act within the time limit, Buyer agrees that it shall be conclusively presumed to have accepted the products and to have waived any defect discoverable upon reasonable inspection.

Warranty / Disclaimer

All products are warranted to conform to their specifications. Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC will replace, at its expense, any products that are found to be nonconforming, provided that the Buyer gives written notice of the nonconformity within the warranty period. Buyer may be required to return nonconforming products to Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC at its facility in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, United States of America, or to the point of original shipment, whichever is specified by Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC authorized agent. Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC will ship replacement products to the Buyer, freight prepaid, to any location in the continental United States. This warranty shall be void in case of mishandling or failure to maintain the product in accordance with Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC’s recommendations. THIS WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES OR OBLIGATIONS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT WILL Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY KIND, SUSTAINED FROM ANY CAUSE RELATING TO THE PRODUCT OR ARISING OUT OF ANY LEGAL THEORY, WHETHER CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE OR STRICT TORT LIABILITY. BUYER'S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR BREACH OF WARRANTY IS REPLACEMENT OR REFUND, AT Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC’s OPTION.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

IN NO EVENT SHALL Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC BE LIABLE TO BUYER FOR ANY CLAIM, WHETHER BASED UPON CONTRACT, NEGLIGENCE, STRICT TORT LIABILITY OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PRODUCTS SOLD, IN AN AMOUNT EXCEEDING THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE SUBJECT PRODUCT. ANY LAWSUIT BY BUYER AGAINST CORRECTIONS BOOKSTORE PUBLISHING LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AFFILIATES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SUBJECT PRODUCT, SHALL BE FILED WITHIN ONE YEAR FROM SHIPMENT OF THE SUBJECT PRODUCT BY Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC.

Applicable Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed following the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States of America, without regard to the New Jersey conflict of laws principles. The parties expressly disclaim the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and this Agreement will not be governed by the provisions thereof. The parties agree that any claim asserted in any legal proceeding by one party against the other shall be commenced and maintained exclusively in state or federal court located within Bergen County, New Jersey. Both parties hereby submit to the jurisdiction of such courts over each of them personally in connection with such litigation and waive any objection to venue in such courts and any claim that such forum is an inconvenient forum. The prevailing party in any litigation arising out of or relating to this Agreement will be entitled to recover all reasonable attorney's fees and other expenses (in addition to statutory "costs" of litigation), including attorney's fees and expenses in connection with any trial, appeal, or petition for review.

Export Restrictions

Buyer at all times shall comply with United States laws and regulations governing export control. Buyer shall not use, lease, or sell any products purchased from Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC in any country, or to any purchaser or lessee in any country, other than the country of destination specified in Buyer's order, except in a manner expressly permitted by such laws and regulations.

Returns

Products may be returned to Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC only with Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC's prior written authorization. Returns shall be subject to Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC’s return policies which Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC may change from time to time.

Precedence

These terms and conditions take precedence over the buyer's additional or different terms and conditions. Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC's agreement to sell products to Buyer, and any acceptance by Buyer, are specifically limited to these terms and conditions. In the absence of Buyer's signature on this agreement, Buyer shall be bound by all of these terms and conditions:

(a) Ten (10) days after Buyer receives these terms and conditions unless written notice of objection is given to Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC within the ten 10-day period;

(b) When Buyer issues any instructions to Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC and Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC makes a substantial beginning of commitments for their procurement; or

ENTIRE AGREEMENT

ENTIRE AGREEMENT THIS AGREEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ENTIRE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PARTIES WITH RESPECT TO THE SUBJECT PRODUCTS. ANY REPRESENTATIONS, PROMISES, WARRANTIES, OR STATEMENTS THAT DIFFER IN ANY WAY FROM THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL BE GIVEN NO FORCE OR EFFECT. ANY PROVISION OF ANY PURCHASE ORDER SUBMITTED BY THE BUYER THAT CONFLICTS WITH ANY OF THESE TERMS SHOULD NOT BE BINDING UPON CORRECTIONS BOOKSTORE PUBLISHING LLC. THIS AGREEMENT MAY NOT BE MODIFIED EXCEPT IN WRITING SIGNED BY Corrections BookStore Publishing LLC.
