📄 Indiana Corrections Bookstore Policys
At Corrections Bookstore, we take pride in providing a reliable and respectful service to our customers and their incarcerated loved ones. Due to the nature of our business including restrictions imposed by correctional facilities our refund policy is outlined below.
✅ Eligible Refunds
You may be eligible for a refund in the following cases:
Rejected Orders:
If the correctional facility rejects the shipment due to vendor restrictions, a refund will be issued minus the shipping fee.
If a book is returned due to content restrictions and is marked as returnable by the publisher, a refund or store credit will be issued once the item is returned to us.
⚠️ Non-Refundable Situations
Books marked as “non-returnable” by the publisher (as noted in the product description) cannot be refunded.
Orders that have already been processed, packed, or shipped are not eligible for cancellation or refund.
Shipping fees are non-refundable once the order has left our facility.
If an order is returned or rejected and the item is non-returnable, we can reship the item to a home address, with shipping costs paid by the customer.
💵 Cancellation Policy
Orders may be canceled within 48 hours of placement, provided they have not yet been processed or shipped.
A 20% processing and restocking fee will apply to canceled orders.
Customers may choose to receive a full store credit instead of a refund to avoid the cancellation fee.
🚫 Correctional Facility Limitations
Please note that each facility has its own mailroom policies. It is the customer’s responsibility to confirm that:
The facility accepts books from Corrections Bookstore (We are a full-service publishing company, not a third-party vendor)
The recipient is eligible to receive books and how many at one time
The correct inmate name, ID number, and facility address are provided
We are not responsible for orders rejected due to incorrect or incomplete inmate information.
🔄 Backorders & Substitutions
If an item is on backorder and not expected to arrive promptly, we can offer a substitute title of equal or greater value.
